ROUND 1 RESULTS - July 2006

Thank you for playing in the Contest Center's WORD WELTER
puzzle contest.
There were
12 Round 1 entries,
2 Round 2 entries and
2 Round 3 entries
received for the July 2006 puzzles.

Since half of the players win, there are
6 Round 1 winners,
1 Round 2 winner and
1 Round 3 winner.

All winners will receive forms asking if they
wish to continue to the next round.
The forms are enclosed with each monthly mailing.
Winners who wish to risk their prizes and continue to the following
round must sign and return the forms by the given deadline.
Winners who wish to stop and take their prizes may discard
the signature forms.
Winners will receive either their prize check or their higher
round puzzle(s) with the next month's Round 1 puzzle.
If there is an odd number of players for a given higher round, one player
will be held over to a later month.

Patrick Hegland had the 1383-point top-scoring solution.

1383 Patrick Hegland
1372 M. J. Antchagno
1372 David Smallberg
1371 K. R. Dunn
1358 Otilia Elmasian
1355 Jan Dabrowski

The winning players may take their Round 1 prizes, or they may sign and
return the signature slips to risk their Round 1 prizes and continue
to Round 2.
