ROUND 1 RESULTS - February 2005

       Thank you for playing in the Contest Center's Tournament of Riches. There were 62 competing entries for the February 2005 Round 1 puzzle. This makes 10 complete groups of 6 players. These 10 winners will receive $35 each, or they may choose to continue to Round 2 and try for $175. There is also one partial group with 2 players. The winner of that group will receive $15.

       Total prize money won this month is $365. Total winnings paid in the Tournament of Riches is now $55,695.

       Kathleen Conaway had the 233-point top Round 1 solution shown below. Since there were 11 groups, you did not need the top score to win. In fact, you could score 8 points lower and still win. The cutoff was at 226 points with 37 on the top row.
