ROUND 1 RESULTS - September 2004


       Thank you for playing in the Contest Center's Tournament of Riches. There were 72 competing entries for the September 2004 Round 1 puzzle. This makes 12 complete groups of 6 players. These 12 winners will receive $35 each, or they may choose to continue to Round 2 and try for $175.

       Total prize money won this month is $595. Total winnings paid in the Tournament of Riches is now $53,770.

       Donna Fritschka had the 237-point top Round 1 solution shown below. Since there were 13 groups, you did not need the top score to win. In fact, you could score 10 points lower and still win. The cutoff was at 227 points.
