ROUND 1 RESULTS - July 2004


       Thank you for playing in the Contest Center's Tournament of Riches. There were 67 competing entries for the July 2004 Round 1 puzzle. This makes 11 complete groups of 6 players. These 11 winners will receive $35 each, or they may choose to continue to Round 2 and try for $175. There is also one partial group with 1 player. The winner of that group will receive $10.

       Total prize money won this month is $395. Total winnings paid in the Tournament of Riches is now $52,910.

       Donna Fritschka had the 219-point top Round 1 solution shown below. Since there were 12 groups, you did not need the top score to win. In fact, you could score 7 points lower and still win. The cutoff was at 212 points.
