ROUND 1 RESULTS - June 2004


       Thank you for playing in the Contest Center's Tournament of Riches. There were 81 competing entries for the June 2004 Round 1 puzzle. This makes 13 complete groups of 6 players. These 13 winners will receive $35 each, or they may choose to continue to Round 2 and try for $175. There is also one partial group with 3 players. The winner of that group will receive $20.

       Total prize money won this month is $475. Total winnings paid in the Tournament of Riches is now $52,610.

       Joel Prescott had the 242-point top Round 1 solution shown below. Since there were 14 groups, you did not need the top score to win. In fact, you could score 7 points lower and still win. The cutoff was at 235 points.
