ROUND 1 RESULTS - April 2004


       Thank you for playing in the Contest Center's Tournament of Riches. There were 73 competing entries for the April 2004 Round 1 puzzle. This makes 12 complete groups of 6 players. These 12 winners will receive $35 each, or they may choose to continue to Round 2 and try for $175. There is also one partial group with 1 player. The winner of that group will receive $10.

       There were 5 entries in Round 2, making 1 group of players. The winner will receive $175, or may choose to go to Round 3 to try for $1,000.

       Total prize money won this month is $605. Total winnings paid in the Tournament of Riches is now $51,520.

       Judith Kimbrough had the top-scoring Round 1 solution shown below. Since there were 13 groups, you did not need a top score to win. In fact, you could score 8 points lower and still win.
