ROUND 1 RESULTS - March 2004


       Thank you for playing in the Contest Center's Tournament of Riches. There were 76 competing entries for the March 2004 Round 1 puzzle. This makes 12 complete groups of 6 players. These 12 winners will receive $35 each, or they may choose to continue to Round 2 and try for $175. There is also one partial group with 4 players. The winner of that group will receive $25.

       Total prize money won this month is $445. Total winnings paid in the Tournament of Riches is now $51,180.

       Donna Fritschka had the top-scoring Round 1 solution shown below. Since there were 13 groups, you did not need a top score to win. In fact, you could score 5 points lower and still win. The cutoff was at 219 points.
