ROUND 1 RESULTS - February 2004


       Thank you for playing in the Contest Center's Tournament of Riches. There were 64 competing entries for the February 2004 Round 1 puzzle. This makes 10 complete groups of 6 players. These 10 winners will receive $35 each, or they may choose to continue to Round 2 and try for $175. There is also one partial group with 4 players. The winner of that group will receive $25.

       Total prize money won this month is $375. Total winnings paid in the Tournament of Riches is now $50,840.

       Donna Fritschka had the top-scoring Round 1 solution shown below. Since there were 11 groups, you did not need a top score to win. In fact, you could score 9 points lower and still win. The cutoff was at 226 points with 37 on the top row.
