ROUND 1 RESULTS - JUNE 2002


       Thank you for playing in the Contest Center's Tournament of Riches. There were 88 competing entries for the June 2002 Round 1 puzzle. This makes 14 complete groups of 6 players. These 14 winners will receive $35 each, or they may choose to continue to Round 2 and try for $175. There is also one partial group with 1 player. The winner of that group will receive $25. Total prize money for Round 1 is $515 this month.

       David Smallberg had the top-scoring solution shown below. Since there were 15 groups, you did not need a top score to win. In fact, you could score 8 points lower and still win. The cutoff was at 208 points.
