Q: How much money can I win? A: You can win $665,000 per household. Q: How are the prizes paid? A: A check for the full amount is issued within 21 days. Q: How many of each prize will be awarded? A: There is no limit. We may award hundreds or even thousands of each prize. The Contest Center has already paid over $961,000 in cash prizes. Q: What happens if I win? A: We will send you a form asking if you want to go to the next round. If you choose to go ahead, we will immediately put you into the pool of players for the next round. If you choose to stop we will send your prize check with the next monthly mailing. Q: What happens if I lose? A: You can play again. You are entitled to win 10 or more cash prizes. Q: Is this a sweepstakes? A: No. This is far better than a sweepstakes. In a sweepstakes there can be millions of players, but only a few will win a cash prize. in One on One, half of the players win each time. Most players will win 10 or more cash prizes from $18 to $66,500 each. Q: Do I need the top score to win? A: No. You only need to score in the top half. In the lower rounds there will be many winners each month. Only a few of those winners will have the top score. Other players may win with 10, 15, even 20 points less. (In high rounds there might be only 2 players in some months, so the top score may be needed.) Q: How do I win? A: To win a prize in any round you need to solve the puzzle correctly, and score in the top half. The amount of your prize is determined by the Round in which you are competing, up to $66,500 for Round 14. You may win 10 or more prizes, with a total value of $665,000 or more. Q: How do I lose? A: To lose, just stop playing before you have received 10 cash prizes. The biggest mistake you can make is to quit too soon. When the top winners reach 10 prizes, they can no longer enter Round 1. That makes it easier for the remaining players to win. Everyone who stays in this contest will probably win 10 or more prizes of $18 up to $66,500 each. Dropouts usually win nothing at all. Q: How do I get started? A: Start by printing and solving the Round 1 puzzle on this website. Send your entry with the $12 entry fee to the address at the top of this page.
