ROUND 1 RESULTS - August 2008


       Congratulations to Joel Prescott and Robert Thrift who have received 10 prizes in One On One. They are the seventeenth and eighteenth players to reach 10 prizes. They are no longer eligible to play Round˙1, so all other players will move up two places.

       Thank you for playing in the Contest Center's One On One puzzle contest. In August 2008 there were 13 Round 1 entries and 4 Round 2 entries.

       Half the players win on each puzzle, so there are 6 Round˙1 winners and 2 Round˙2 winners for a total of $164. Total prize money paid in One On One is now $5,992.

       All winners will receive forms asking if they wish to continue to the next round. The forms are enclosed with each monthly mailing. Winners who wish to risk their prizes and continue to the following round must sign and return the forms by the given deadline. Winners who wish to stop and take their prizes may discard the signature forms. Winners will receive either their prize check or their higher round puzzle(s) with the next month's Round 1 puzzle. If there is an odd number of players for a given higher round, one player will be held over to a later month.
