ROUND 1 RESULTS - August 2006


       Congratulations to Donald Sullivan who has received 10 prizes in One On One. He is the ninth player to reach 10 prizes. He is no longer eligible to play Round 1, so all other players will move up one place.

       Thank you for playing in the Contest Center's One On One puzzle contest. In August 2006 there were 20 Round 1 entries, 6 Round 2 entries and 2 Round 3 entries.

       Half the players win on each puzzle, so there are 10 Round 1 winners, 3 Round 2 winners and 1 Round 1 winner this month, for a total of $312. Total prize money paid in One On One is now $3,858.

       All winners will receive forms asking if they wish to continue to the next round. The forms are enclosed with each monthly mailing. Winners who wish to risk their prizes and continue to the following round must sign and return the forms by the given deadline. Winners who wish to stop and take their prizes may discard the signature forms. Winners will receive either their prize check or their higher round puzzle(s) with the next month's Round 1 puzzle. If there is an odd number of players for a given higher round, one player will be held over to a later month.
