INNER CIRCLE #5 - October 2002
ZIGZAG RESULTS

There were 18 paid entries to the Zigzag puzzle contest. Of these, 12 players interpreted the rules to allow only one word in each column, while 6 interpreted the rules to allow multiple overlapping words. Both interpretations are reasonable, given the wording and the example. Therefore, each group of players will compete independently.

Among the players who used multiple words in each column Sheldon Degenhardt had the top score of 1680. He wins $168.00.

Among the players who used a single word in each column, 4 people had the top score of 1400. This would give prize shares of $84 each. Since this is less than $100, a tiebreaker will be issued.
