This chart shows how often a given letter is contacted by a vowel or consonant on either side. For example, the top row shows that A is preceded by a vowel 20% of the time and by a consonant 80% of the time. A is followed by a vowel 9% of the time and by a consonant 91% of the time. These counts are based on text without word divisions.
